Meet Strong Towns
A movement dedicated to making communities financially strong and resilient.
Take a stroll in most US cities and you’ll quickly discover that the automobile reigns supreme. Enjoyable walks abruptly end when you reach a main artery that contains a hodgepodge of dilapidated pedestrian accessible businesses and block sized parking lots supporting loaf sized fast food establishments.
What if I told you that it didn’t have to be this way and that there is a movement of urban planners, economists, and local leaders looking to bulk the trend of decades of auto-centric unattainable urban growth?
Meet Strong Towns. Strong Towns is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization interested in understanding the intersection between local finance and land use.
